I don't do much gaming but i wanted to add a gpu that would handle gaming better than the integrated gpu. I added the msi gtx1660 but after doing so, my fan idle speed has gone way. My hp omen max 16 gaming laptop seems to always have the fans spinning at around 1900 rpm, even when it's in low power mode or when i disable the nvidia gpu. The thing is, 1900. The cooling system in my laptop has stopped working as it should.
My problem is the same as many others i have seen listed. Pc was working fine all these years, suddenly went to turn it on and loud fan noise, blank screen, pc won't boot. Have tried all fixes. The fans keep running and the system doesnt idle, while battery sleep works fine. Ive been using my hp omen 17 without issues until recently, when the cooling fans began stopping at random. It doesnt matter whether the laptop is idle or running gamesthe fans. I have a hp victus 16 s0004ns, i have had a big problem for a long time. The fans are very noisy and they are very annoying in the library and elsewhere; They are always active or almost. My fans have been randomly shutting off lately.
