StopGap Foundation was registered as a Canadian charity in October 2013 but its roots date back to the Fall of 2011. What began as a small one-off project in Toronto has turned into a global MOVEMENT! STOPGAP.CA was stencilled on each ramp to direct people to the website in order to learn all about the project. It became clear from the incredibly positive outcome of the first Community Ramp Project. Here at Charlie’s having a StopGap ramp in our space has significantly improved our customer, volunteer, and staff’s experience using the entrance. As a bike shop, the obvious benefit is the ease. Anyone acquiring a StopGap ramp enters into an agreement with StopGap that clearly states that they take on the responsibility and any risk associated with using the ramp.
